REFERRAL AND PRACTICE INFORMATION

MODEL OF SERVICE

First appointment (90 minutes). This extended consultation is the starting point for commencing any service.

It allows space and time for us to complete an initial asssessment. It creates the establishing scene for the therapeutic or consultative process.

Ongoing treatment consultation (50 minutes). Following the completion of the initial appointment, momentum starts to generate as we move through explorative conversations and develop a holistic picture of your circumstances - the intervention process begins to take shape.

FEE STRUCTURE

For example:

First/Initial Appointment (90 minutes): $300 - applied to all first appointments.

Subsequent/Ongoing Appointments (50 minutes): $200, $225 - as per chosen service (See ‘Services’ section for details).

REFERRAL AND REBATES

Many people self refer to therapy, or you can obtain a referral through another health practitioner.

If located in Australia and planning to attend with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, Medicare rebates are available for Mental Health Intervention and Support Services. The current Medicare rebate is $93.35 per session.

These appointments are best structured as either 10 sessions per calendar year in alignment with Medicare’s subsidised appointments with a Mental Health Treatment Plan, as arranged with your GP prior to your first appointment.

Private Health rebates may apply if relevant to your circumstances. Please refer to the details of your chosen policy to determine eligibility.

PRACTICE POLICIES

Practice policies, consent for treatment, and additional relevant information are provided to you for you to read through and complete electronically prior to your first appointment. This gives you the opportunity to understand how the process operates, what to expect, and to facilitate decisions around fully informed consent.

CANCELLATION POLICY

For psychological treatment services, a strict cancellation and non attendance policy is implemented to ensure fairness to all individuals in the client community who are receiving therapeutic input.

A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to adjust or cancel an already scheduled appointment. Cancellations within the cancellation window are billed at 50-100% of the full fee.

  • If you need a shorter initial assessment appointment for a particular reason, or are a returning client, please let Courtney know.

  • If you are located in a rural or regional geographical area of Australia and are finding challenges in accessing the care you need, Courtney does offer a limited number of reduced fee places, as appropriate to your circumstances. Please get in touch with her directly to speak further about this option.
